Meet your Instructor
Mr E B Makuru is an experienced biology and chemistry teacher who currently works at Methodist High School. He obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in biology and chemistry from the National University of Lesotho in 2001 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education in 2012. Mr Makuru also completed a postgraduate diploma in curriculum Studies in 2018 and is almost completing a Master’s degree in the same program from the University of the Free State. His research is on the teachers’ perceptions on the use of information and communication technology (ICT) for teaching biology in Lesotho high schools. He is a member of the national physical science panel which has produced the LGCSE physical science syllabus. During the schools’ closure necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic, he presented chemistry lessons on Lesotho television. As a passionate teacher, he has also produced biology and chemistry study guides for LGCSE leaners.
